Felix changed my life, literally. I auditioned for him at the 'U' thinking I would get a Ph.D. in Music Education. After my audition, he walked up to me, handed me his card with his home number on it [that very card is framed along with his picture; it hangs in my Music Sanctuary]and said, "You're a performer...study with me." I did and it was the start of an amazing relationship with a brilliant musician who was both mentor and father to me. In the end, it was Felix who wrote a check for $1800 to the 'U' for my back tuition enabling me to get my degree, a DMA as well as my transcripts. He said, "Just take care of me in my old age." I wish he had given me that opportunity. I miss him terribly but will remember and love him always. TLCDMA
